- 22:18U.S. financial regulators scrutinize abnormal trading patterns of crypto-related companiesAccording to Golden Ten Data, ChainCatcher reported that U.S. financial regulators have reviewed abnormal trading patterns in the stocks of companies that have announced adopting cryptocurrency purchases as their core business strategy. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority have contacted some of the more than 200 companies that announced such strategies this year.
- 22:07$8 Million Cryptocurrency Kidnapping Case Occurs in Minnesota, USA; Two Brothers IndictedJinse Finance reported that Minnesota prosecutors announced on September 25 that brothers Raymond Garcia, 23, and Isaiah Garcia, 24, have been charged with armed kidnapping. On September 19, the two allegedly held a family of three at gunpoint in Grant City for nine hours, forcing the victims to log into their cryptocurrency accounts and transfer digital assets worth $8 million. The incident led to the cancellation of the local high school's homecoming football game. After the crime, the suspects fled to Texas, where they were arrested on September 22 and confessed to the crime. The brothers now face multiple felony charges, including kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and burglary. This is another recent violent crime in the United States targeting cryptocurrency holders.
- 22:00ChatGPT launches new feature: Personalized daily news pushed based on chat historyJinse Finance reported that OpenAI is launching a new ChatGPT feature that sends users a set of personalized news, research, and other updates each day based on their previous conversations with the chatbot. This is an early attempt to make its flagship product more proactive. Starting Thursday, some paid users will have access to ChatGPT Pulse, receiving 5 to 10 visual cards daily, each providing more details on a topic of interest and potentially serving as a prompt to start a conversation with the chatbot. For example, a user who frequently discusses space and their young child with ChatGPT might see news about an upcoming NASA rocket launch or Halloween family costume suggestions tailored to the child's age. The feature also takes into account preferences explicitly expressed by the user (“Update me on TV shows, but no spoilers!”), as well as information from Gmail and Google Calendar (if these apps are connected to the chatbot).
