According to Reuters, White House officials said that for trade partners such as the European Union and Japan, the United States will continue to abide by the 15% tariff cap stipulated in the agreements. On September 25, U.S. President Trump announced on his social media platform "Truth Social" that starting October 1, the United States will implement a new round of high tariffs on various imported products. The measures include: a 50% tariff on kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, and related building materials; a 30% tariff on imported furniture; and a 100% tariff on patented and branded pharmaceuticals.
