Wintermute founder announces opposition to Aave governance control proposal

Wintermute founder Evgeny Gaevoy stated on X that AAVE holds a significant position in Wintermute's portfolio, and that neither he personally nor Wintermute holds equity in Aave Labs. He believes there is a misalignment of expectations between AAVE Labs and some token holders regarding token value capture. He considers the current escalation of conflict to be both unnecessary and destructive, and criticized the politicization surrounding the voting process. For these reasons, Wintermute will vote against the current governance control proposal, while also looking forward to AAVE Labs seriously addressing the issue of token value capture.
