Former AAVE core member: If value is structurally shifted from the DAO to private entities, it will undermine AAVE's competitiveness
Foresight News reported that former AAVE core member Marc Zeller tweeted that the issue does not lie in the existence of private companies. Private companies are supposed to develop products. The problem arises when private entities unilaterally control the storefront and branding, while the DAO ecosystem is responsible for keeping the engine running—this is when things become complicated. Marc stated that a significant portion of "founding" talent and the most strategic developers are now working independently within the DAO ecosystem. This is a key reason why Aave is able to continuously deliver, manage risks properly, and expand its market share across multiple cycles. If value is structurally shifted from the DAO to private entities, critical talent will be lost, and the ecosystem that makes Aave successful will be weakened.
Additionally, he pointed out that there is often a misconception that service providers are "extracting" value. In fact, the opposite is true: service providers' interests are highly aligned with those of token holders, and compared to the value maintained and created, the cost of maintaining Aave DAO's professional execution is relatively low.
