US SEC Chairman: US financial markets are about to transition on-chain, looking forward to the SEC considering innovative exemption policies
BlockBeats News, December 12, this morning, US SEC Chairman Paul Atkins posted that the US financial markets are about to transition on-chain. "Under my leadership, the SEC is prioritizing innovation and actively adopting new technologies to achieve this on-chain future, while continuing to protect investors' interests." On-chain markets will bring greater predictability, transparency, and efficiency to investors. DTC participants can now directly transfer tokenized securities to the registered wallets of other participants, and these transactions will be tracked by DTC's official records.
Paul Atkins stated, "I look forward to the SEC considering an innovative exemption policy that allows innovators to leverage new technologies and business models to begin transitioning our markets on-chain, without being constrained by cumbersome regulatory requirements."
This morning, it was reported that the US SEC has approved DTCC to custody and confirm tokenized stocks and RWA assets on-chain.
