Arbitrum DAO votes on a $1.5 million delegate incentive program
On December 12, it was reported that Arbitrum DAO is voting on a $1.5 million plan aimed at rewarding delegates who actively participate in voting. The proposal, released on November 19, aims to reduce voter apathy and increase active voting power. According to the proposal, delegates must meet the following criteria to receive rewards: hold at least 200,000 ARB voting power, vote on proposals, and publicly disclose their voting rationale within five days. The reward amount depends on the delegate's share of voting power, the type of proposal, and the remaining budget. Major on-chain votes can earn up to $700 each, while minor off-chain votes have a cap of $300. As of the end of voting today, Snapshot data shows that 55.8% support the plan, 27.5% abstain, and 16.5% oppose. The plan will initially run for one year, with the DAO Operations Committee tracking expenditures and managing the budget quarterly. If ended early, the remaining funds will be returned.
