Spotify Wrapped 2025 introduces its inaugural multiplayer experience through ‘Wrapped Party’
Spotify Wrapped 2025: A Fresh Take on Year-End Music Recaps
Spotify Wrapped has made its return, moving away from last year’s controversial AI-driven approach and refocusing on the elements that users love most. This year’s edition brings an even deeper look into your listening habits, enhanced interactive features, personalized messages from artists, and expanded social sharing options.
According to Spotify, the 2025 Wrapped is its most ambitious yet, rolling out nearly a dozen new features alongside classics like your top songs and artists. For the first time, users can access more detailed insights into their listening data, including a new multiplayer feature that lets you compare your stats with friends in real time.
Introducing Wrapped Party: Share the Experience
The new Wrapped Party feature is Spotify’s first live, interactive experience, enabling you to invite up to nine friends to join and compare your listening statistics together.

Enhanced Top Songs Playlist
This year, your Top Songs Playlist comes with a twist: you’ll now see the play count for each track, giving you a clearer picture of just how much you’ve enjoyed your favorite tunes.
New Interactive Features
- Top Song Quiz: Test your memory by guessing which song defined your year before the answer is revealed.
- Listening Age: Discover how your 2025 music choices compare to others in your age group, based on the release years of your most-played tracks.
- Wrapped Clubs: Get matched with one of six unique listening communities, such as “Soft Hearts Club” or “Club Serotonin,” and receive a role that reflects your listening style.
Spotify believes these additions will not only restore the personalized, engaging experience users expect from Wrapped, but also make it more interactive than ever before.

Group Dynamics and Unique Insights
Wrapped Party goes beyond simple data comparison. It generates fun group insights, such as identifying the “most devoted fan,” the “early riser,” the “selective listener,” or the “news enthusiast” who tunes into the most podcasts. These awards update each time you start a new session, ensuring every party is a unique experience—even with the same friends.

Discover Your Listening Club
The Wrapped Clubs feature sorts users into one of several listening groups, such as the “Full Charge Crew” or “Cosmic Stereo Club.” Your role within the club—leader, scout, or archivist—is determined by your unique listening patterns, whether you’re a trendsetter, a seeker of new releases, or a fan of classic tracks.

Listening Age: How Does Your Taste Stack Up?
The Listening Age feature analyzes the release years of your most-played songs to show which five-year period you gravitated toward, comparing your preferences to others in your age bracket.

All Your Favorites, All in One Place
As always, you’ll see your top songs, artists, genres, and—new this year—albums. If you’ve listened to audiobooks or podcasts, those stats will appear as well. Creators also receive their own Wrapped summaries, and top fans are treated to video messages from their favorite artists, podcasters, and now, authors.
Your personalized playlist of the year’s top songs returns, letting you relive your favorite moments from 2025.

No AI-Generated Experiences This Year
This year’s Wrapped avoids any features labeled as AI-generated. During a press event, Matt Luhks, Spotify’s Senior Director of Global Marketing, acknowledged the mixed feedback from last year’s AI-focused experience, noting that user input played a significant role in shaping this year’s approach.
“We listen closely to what our users say about Wrapped. Their feedback guided us to create the most creative, innovative, and engaging Wrapped yet,” Luhks shared, emphasizing Spotify’s commitment to setting the standard for year-in-review features.

AI’s Subtle Role
While the overall Wrapped experience isn’t AI-generated, Spotify does use large language models to enhance storytelling and provide natural language summaries of your listening data.
Staying Ahead in a Crowded Field
Spotify’s efforts to revitalize Wrapped come as competitors like Apple, Amazon, and YouTube launch their own year-end recaps. Despite the crowded landscape, Spotify remains confident that Wrapped continues to lead the way.
“Everyone has their own take on year-end reviews, but we believe Wrapped still sets the gold standard,” Luhks said.
2025’s Top Artists and Content
Alongside the user experience, Spotify revealed the year’s most popular artists, songs, albums, podcasts, and audiobooks. This year’s top honors went to Bad Bunny for both song and album, Joe Rogan for his podcast, and Rebeca Yarros for her bestselling audiobook “Fourth Wing.”
