A key voter for the "ending U.S. government shutdown plan" is rushing back to the Capitol due to a flight delay.
On November 10, it was reported that the procedural vote on the "end government shutdown plan" is currently one vote short of passing. However, the key voter, Texas Senator John Cornyn, is currently rushing back to the Capitol in Washington, D.C. from out of town. According to community information, John Cornyn was unable to arrive at the voting site on time due to flight delays caused by the government shutdown.
