Russia says an immediate ceasefire violates previous consensus between Russia and the United States
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said today (October 21) that the US now claims the need for an "immediate ceasefire", but this means forgetting the root of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and goes against the consensus reached by the Russian and American presidents earlier. Lavrov also stated that in the preparation for the meeting between the Russian and American presidents, the key issue is not the location and time, but the effective advancement of the various tasks planned at the previous meeting in Alaska. He will continue to maintain communication with US Secretary of State Blinken.
