U.S. Congressional Budget Office: Last fiscal year's budget deficit was $1.8 trillion
Jinse Finance reported that the US Congressional Budget Office (CBO) expects a budget surplus of $164 billion in September. The budget deficit for fiscal year 2025 (the 12 months ending September 30) is projected to be $1.809 trillion, compared to a deficit of $1.817 trillion for fiscal year 2024. Fiscal revenue for 2025 is expected to grow by 6% to $5.22 trillion, while fiscal expenditure is expected to increase by 3% to $7.035 trillion.
