Martinis were awarded for their "discovery of macroscopic quantum tunneling and energy quantization in circuits." It is worth noting that members of the Google DeepMind team had already won the Nobel Prize in 2024. John Martinis is currently no longer with Google. The individual prize money for the 2025 Nobel Prize is 11 million Swedish Krona, the same as in 2024, equivalent to 8.34526 million RMB.
