Suspect involved in planning a $580 million cryptocurrency and credit card fraud case arrested in Bangkok
According to ChainCatcher, citing a report from Decrypt, a Portuguese man has been arrested in Bangkok, Thailand, on suspicion of orchestrating a $580 million cryptocurrency and credit card fraud scheme.
The English-language Thai newspaper Khaosod confirmed that the man is 39-year-old Pedro M. A Portuguese journalist vacationing in Bangkok was the first to spot him at a luxury shopping mall. Khaosod did not confirm Pedro's surname, but his profile and photos match those of Pedro Morato, a well-known figure in Portuguese media.
