On Tuesday, fitness wearable company Whoop officially launched Whoop Advanced Labs. According to the company’s statement to TechCrunch, over 350,000 individuals had joined the waitlist after the service’s initial preview in May.

Whoop Advanced Labs provides blood testing for health screening through Quest Diagnostics, assessing a range of indicators such as calcium and white blood cell count. The system combines these lab results with the band’s ongoing tracking of physical activity, sleep patterns, breathing rate, and blood pressure to deliver tailored health recommendations.

The pricing for Advanced Labs is $199 for a single annual test, $349 for two tests per year, or $599 for four. The Whoop wearable itself also requires a membership, which ranges from $200 to $350 per year based on the features of the strap selected.

Whoop is now among a rising group of startups that provide wellness services via affordable, subscription-based blood testing. Other examples include Dr. Mark Hymen’s Function Health, which charges $500 annually for quarterly tests and optional body scans, and Fountain Life, a longevity-focused company founded by Tony Robbins and Peter Diamandis, with yearly costs exceeding $20,000.
