Grayscale ETF Global Head David LaValle Resigns, Company Outlook Draws Attention
According to ChainCatcher, citing Unchained, David LaValle, Global Head of ETFs at crypto asset management firm Grayscale, will step down at the end of July, just weeks after the company secretly filed for an IPO on July 14. LaValle joined in 2021 and played a key behind-the-scenes role in the conversion of GBTC to an ETF.
Currently, Grayscale is facing pressure from frequent leadership changes and shrinking assets under management, with its core products charging higher fees than competitors. Against this backdrop, whether its upcoming IPO can present a compelling "growth story" to attract investors remains to be seen by the market.
