ZachXBT: Indian Exchange Suspected of Hack, Estimated Losses Around $44.2 Million
According to Jinse Finance, on-chain investigator ZachXBT revealed on his personal channel that a centralized Indian exchange, referred to as "a certain exchange," was allegedly hacked nearly 17 hours ago, resulting in losses of approximately $44.2 million. The incident has not yet been disclosed to the community. The attacker's address received 1 ETH in funds from Tornado Cash and subsequently bridged part of the stolen funds from Solana to Ethereum. ZachXBT further noted that the affected exchange's hot wallet is not publicly labeled and there is no recent proof of reserves, so attribution had to be done manually by reviewing counterparties. In addition, ZachXBT reminded the community that he does not have a YouTube account and that all his personal channels are publicly available on the X platform.
