Fed Dot Plot: Projects 25 Basis Point Rate Cuts in Both 2026 and 2027
According to a report by Jinse Finance, the Federal Reserve's dot plot indicates an expected rate cut of 25 basis points each in 2026 and 2027. The dot plot shows that among 19 officials, 7 believe there will be no rate cuts in 2025, 2 expect one rate cut, 8 anticipate two rate cuts, and 2 foresee three rate cuts. The median projections for the federal funds rate at the end of 2025, 2026, 2027, and the long term are 3.9%, 3.6%, 3.4%, and 3.0%, respectively (compared to the March projections of 3.9%, 3.4%, 3.1%, and 3.0%).
