Panama City Mayor Mayer Mizrachi May Hint at Establishing Bitcoin Reserves
According to a report by Cointelegraph, as reported by Jinse Finance, Panama City Mayor Mayer Mizrachi may have hinted at establishing a city-level Bitcoin reserve after meeting with two Bitcoin policy leaders from El Salvador. After meeting with El Salvador Bitcoin advisor Max Keiser and Bitcoin Office head Stacy Herbert, Mizrachi posted about "Bitcoin reserves" on social platform X on May 16. The three also discussed how Panama and El Salvador could use renewable energy to promote Bitcoin mining development, while Panama City will incorporate El Salvador's financial knowledge textbook "What is Money?" into its online library system.
