Blinken: Trump Only Respects Hardline Leaders
According to a report by Jinse Finance, former U.S. Secretary of State Blinken stated in an interview with The Times that current President Trump only respects hardline leaders. He also mentioned that Trump now views Europe as weak and disunited, urging European leaders to bravely confront the White House. Blinken said, "In my view, when Trump looks at the world, he focuses on a few aspects. From his perspective, he pays attention to strong leaders or powerful countries. To be honest, when he looks at Europe, I feel he sees a continent that is not strong or united, a weaker actor. So I think part of the challenge for Europe to gain President Trump's attention is to demonstrate stronger cohesion, higher unity, and clearer common goals, because only then will Europe be taken more seriously."
