Russian logistics company calls for government to legalize cryptocurrency cross-border payments
The Russian logistics company ETE Group has submitted a request to Prime Minister Mishustin, calling on the government to establish a legal framework for businesses using cryptocurrencies for international settlements. The ETE Group suggests amending the Civil Code, Tax Code and other relevant foreign exchange regulatory laws to give cryptocurrencies legal status and establish standard procedures for their issuance, circulation and accounting treatment. ETE noted that since 2024, Russian companies' interest in crypto payments has increased by about 40%.
