Data: The total NFT transaction volume in the first quarter was approximately 1.5 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 63%
According to CryptoSlam data, from January to March 2025, the total transaction volume of NFTs was $1.5 billion, down 63% from $4.1 billion in the same period in 2024. The biggest drop occurred in March, with transaction volume falling 76% from $1.6 billion last year to $373 million.
Despite the slowdown in growth, series such as Doodles, Milady Maker and Pudgy Penguins still performed beyond expectations.
In the head NFT series, CryptoPunks had a turnover of 60 million USD in the first quarter of 2025, a decrease of 47% from 114 million USD in the first quarter of 2024. The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) fell by up to 61%. Pudgy Penguins had the highest turnover in the first quarter of 2025, reaching 72 million USD, an increase of 13% from 63.5 million USD in the first quarter of 2024. Doodles' turnover jumped from $22.6 million in Q1-2024 to $32 million in Q1-2025.
