The wording submitted by an official of the U.S. Treasury Department in a court document shows that the department is planning massive layoffs in response to actions led by Musk's Government Efficiency Department (DOGE) to reduce the size of federal government employees. Currently, the Treasury Department is finalizing its plans to implement Trump's executive order on implementing DOGE initiatives. According to court documents, these plans will be tailored for various agencies under the Treasury Department and in many cases will cut a large number of positions through layoffs.
