U.S. SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce: I still believe that a "safe harbor" should be established to promote cryptocurrency innovation
Coindesk published an interview with Hester Peirce, a commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, at the end of February. She still believes that a "safe harbor" should be established to promote cryptocurrency innovation, but she is not fixated on it. If people have better ideas, they can propose them. The goal of the SEC is to make people truly willing to disclose information and not worry that disclosing information will make them a target of SEC enforcement actions. In addition, Hester Peirce also revealed that she worked for current SEC acting chairman Paul Atkins for four years, describing him as someone who likes clear laws and then enforces them.
