Cardano's founder criticizes Ethereum's governance model as "dictatorial", overly reliant on Vitalik Buterin
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson stated that governance reforms in the Voltaire era prevented the chain from becoming a "dictatorship" like Ethereum, and avoided Bitcoin's "anarchy". During an interview in Singapore, Hoskinson criticized Ethereum's current governance model, claiming that Ethereum relies too much on its co-founder Vitalik Buterin for guidance. Hoskinson said that blockchain can choose to keep protocols simple forever, just like Bitcoin, or "pick a king" to manage affairs. However, Cardano's new governance model has solved the "trilemma of efficiency, effectiveness and integrity" through delegated representatives and a membership organization called Intersect by refining complex governance topics for voting. When asked to explain his controversial remarks linking Ethereum with dictatorship, Hoskinson said that Ethereum’s “entire vision” began with Buterin but will also end with him. (Cointelegraph)
