Chicago Fed President Goolsbee: Fed will act if unemployment rate exceeds 4.1%
In an interview with Bloomberg Television, 2025 FOMC Voter and Chicago Fed President Goolsbee said not to overreact to one month's data. The law provides that the Fed must respond to high unemployment, if the unemployment rate rises above 4.1 per cent, the Fed will have to react to the situation, and it will be the economic situation that determines the magnitude of interest rate cuts or whether to take action.
