Writer Jimmy Song criticizes 2024 Bitcoin Conference for straying from the spirit of Bitcoin
Writer Jimmy Song strongly criticized the first day's agenda at the 2024 Bitcoin Conference in Nashville, arguing that discussions on the gradually infiltrating banking industry, institutional investment, and US exchange-traded funds deviated from the core value of Bitcoin. He emphasized that Bitcoin's greatness lies in freedom, independence, and self-sovereignty, and condemned the participation of financial institutions such as BlackRock.
Song stressed that Bitcoin should stay away from the intervention of nations and multinational corporations. Independent journalist Luke Rudkowski supported Song's views, believing that Bitcoin provides an opportunity for people to see government issues and emphasizing that its decentralized nature can help individuals be independent of national structures.
