68% of Democratic representatives express support for Kamala Harris
According to Golden Finance, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has received the support of delegates and met the threshold required for a Democratic presidential nomination. According to an unofficial survey by The Associated Press among Democratic representatives, as of this article's publication, Harris has secured pledges from 2,668 delegates. The results suggest that she could potentially become the Democratic candidate competing against Republican nominee Donald Trump. Delegates who initially supported Harris will need to cast their official votes in the coming weeks. They are expected to designate an official candidate before the National Democratic Convention on August 7th.
