US Stocks Close with Nasdaq Up Nearly 3%, Nvidia Market Cap Approaching $2 Trillion
US stocks closed higher on Thursday, with all three major indices posting gains. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) closed up around 450 points or 1.18%, while the SP 500 index rose 2.1%, both reaching new closing highs. The Nasdaq Composite Index (Nasdaq) increased by 2.96%. Nvidia (NVDA.O) saw a 16% surge, bringing its market cap close to $2 trillion, while AMD (AMD.O) rose over 10%. Rivian (RIVN.O) experienced a 25% decline. The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index closed with a 1.4% increase, with Li Auto (LI.O) rising over 5% and Baidu (BIDU.O), favored by Citron, up over 3%.
