Opinion: The expected Federal Reserve interest rate cut in May could benefit the cryptocurrency market
ETC Group Research Director André Dragosch stated that according to the current price of federal funds futures, market participants expect the Federal Reserve to start a rate cut cycle in May. The possibility of the Fed starting to cut rates in March has already been absorbed by the market. Dragosch predicts that there may be a delayed response from the crypto market to interest rate cuts. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies might initially face sell-offs until conditions improve in May.
