The artwork was created by crypto artists Trevor Jones and Alotta Money and initially sold for a record-breaking 260 ETH in November 2020. The resale of "EthBoy" injects hope into the struggling NFT ecosystem, which has been facing an escalating crisis due to the optional nature of creator fees on major platforms like OpenSea. The original buyer of "EthBoy" will also receive a portion of the creator fee generated by the artwork's sale.
