Goldman Sachs: US may lose 50,000 jobs in October
Goldman Sachs estimates that the number of non-farm jobs in the United States decreased by about 50,000 in October, the largest drop since 2020. Its employment growth tracking index slowed from 85,000 in September to 50,000, with an additional 100,000 jobs cut due to the "delayed resignation plan" implemented by the Trump administration. The bank pointed out that the number of layoffs is increasing and labor market indicators are weakening.
