Analysis: If the US government liquidates its altcoin holdings, it could add about 5,000 bitcoins
On March 10th, according to news.bitcoin, the US government currently holds 60,850 ETH, worth about $122.96 million, which can be liquidated for 1,522.86 BTC. In addition, they also hold 1.22 billion USDT, which can roughly get around 1,500 BTC. Furthermore, the government holds Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), with a reserve of 750.722 WBTC, worth $61.69 million; and also holds 40,293 BNB and other assets, with BNB assets worth $22.34 million, which can be stored or liquidated for 276.86 BTC. This means that if the government liquidates its holdings of altcoins, it can add 5,004.55 BTC to the treasury.
