Vitalik: Ethereum cannot give up verifiability, it needs highly democratized participation
On December 7th, Celestia co-founder Nick White posted on the X platform stating, "The core of blockchain is verifiability, aiming to free us from committees and intermediary institutions. A more decentralized committee is still a committee." In response to this view, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin commented on the X platform that if Ethereum gave up verifiability and accepted committees and centralized intermediaries as the solution for everything, he would consider it no longer Ethereum. Besides verifiability, I would also add highly democratized participation.
