Base: Optimism Approves 3 Million OP Grant Request, But Won't Incentivize Specific Pools or User Activity
In a post on Platform X, Base said that thanks to Optimism's approval of a grant request for 3 million OPs (~5 million USDC), Base will be launching an incentive program to reward DeFi builders on Base.Base says it is excited about its role in developing the hyperchain, which has already shared 2,625 ETH ($6.7 million) in revenues in the first year which accounts for more than 70 percent of transactions. Base also reportedly reminded the community that it does not incentivize specific pools or user activity.
