NEAR Protocol Co-founder: The combination of Web3 and AI is the solution to closed-source language model problems
At the "2024 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival", Illia Polosukhin, co-founder of NEAR Protocol, stated that the combination of Web3 and AI is a solution to current closed-source language models. He pointed out that most AI models are currently closed-source, and people do not know how the data used for training in these models is generated, which poses some potential risks. People need open source models but face obstacles such as regulatory restrictions on data access and insufficient financial incentives after going open source. He believes that AI language models need to connect directly with users, using cryptography and on-chain reputation to solve these problems, competitive models can be established in Web3.
