Kenyan government will keep Worldcoin suspended in the country
The Kenyan Minister of Interior and National Administration stated that the country has rejected the US government's request to suspend the operation of the cryptocurrency project Worldcoin. Local media Businessdailyafrica reported that Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki told the parliament that the government will not lift the suspension on Worldcoin's activities, which will remain effective until the security and integrity of financial transactions are ensured. Professor Kindiki stated this. According to Bitcoin.com, a report suggests that Worldcoin representatives may have reached an agreement with Kenyan authorities to allow the iris biometric cryptocurrency project to resume operations under new guidelines.
