BlackRock labels BTC as "progress" in its latest Bitcoin ETF advertisement
According to a report by Cointelegraph, BlackRock seems to have increased the media advertising efforts for its recently launched spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), referring to Bitcoin as "progress" rather than currency. The latest ad reads: "Bitcoin ETF has landed." The ad only shows silhouettes of a runway and an airplane. However, BlackRock also added the headline: "Share your progress."
Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas stated that the new IBIT ad is concise, modern, and effective. It strikes a balance between dull traditional fund company ads and "hey kids" type of ads. He added that the company is on the verge of losing its position as "the king of category liquidity," so it makes sense for them to break through with more advertising.
