PANews, December 25 – According to 36Kr, ByteDance's AI application "Doubao" has surpassed 100 million daily active users (DAU), becoming another product with over 100 million users following Douyin. Insiders revealed that Doubao is the product with the lowest promotion costs among the company's products that have reached over 100 million DAU, mainly relying on user self-promotion and content popularity to drive organic downloads. Doubao is also rapidly expanding into multiple scenarios such as AI+hardware and AI+consumer applications, and will participate in interactive cooperation with CCTV's Spring Festival Gala in 2026. Although its profitability path remains to be clarified, the commercialization of its large model MaaS has exceeded expectations, achieving a high gross margin.
