Marshall Islands distributes basic income to citizens via Stellar
According to ChainCatcher, the Marshall Islands is distributing a national basic income (ENRA) through Stellar. The Marshall Islands government will launch the first round of ENRA distribution on November 26, 2025, covering all citizens of the Marshall Islands, with funds sourced from the investment returns of the Compact Trust Fund (capped at 4%). The distribution methods include checks, bank transfers, and blockchain channels (Lomalo digital wallet, supported by Stellar). In addition, the Stellar Foundation has also led the development of the digital sovereign bond USDM1. USDM1 is pegged 1:1 to short-term US Treasury bonds, denominated in US dollars and redeemable at face value.
