Two suspects in the Vienna crypto wallet theft and murder case have been arrested
ChainCatcher reported that two Ukrainian suspects were arrested for allegedly murdering a 21-year-old Ukrainian man in Vienna and stealing his crypto wallet.
The two suspects fled back to Ukraine just hours after committing the crime and were subsequently arrested by Ukrainian authorities. At the request of the Ukrainian authorities, the case will be transferred to Ukraine for prosecution. This case highlights the real-world security threats faced by cryptocurrency holders. Previous reports indicated that the son of a Ukrainian politician was murdered in Vienna, with cryptocurrency possibly being the motive for the crime.
