US September CPI Slightly Below Expectations, Major US Stock Indices Open Higher

ChainCatcher news, according to Golden Ten Data, at the opening of the US stock market, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.54%, the S&P 500 Index rose 0.7%, and the Nasdaq Composite Index rose 0.86%. Intel (INTC.O) opened up 6.8%. Its overnight financial report showed the company turned profitable in the third quarter, revenue returned to growth, and it issued an optimistic revenue outlook. Procter & Gamble (PG.N) rose 3.5%, as the company's first fiscal quarter results exceeded expectations.
